Requirements

Common questions

How do I sign in?

Open Moss, tap Get started and sign in with Google. Google will ask you to let Moss manage your mail and calendar, which lets Moss show, send and organize them on your device. Moss never sees your Google password.

I'm not getting new-mail notifications

Check that notifications are on in Moss's Settings → Notifications and in your device's Settings. Moss can send you a test notification from there. Force-quitting Moss stops background updates until you open it again, so leave it running in the background. Focus modes and Low Power Mode can also delay or hide notifications.

Can I undo something?

Yes. Archiving, deleting, moving, labeling, pinning, marking read or unread and reporting spam all show a message with an Undo button. Tap it within a few seconds to put things back exactly as they were.

Why are images in some emails hidden?

Moss blocks remote images by default so senders can't use tracking pixels to see when you open their mail. Tap to load images for one message or always for a sender, or change the default in Settings → Email viewer → Block remote images.

How do I disconnect my Google account?

In Moss, go to Settings and tap Sign out of Gmail. This removes your mail and account data from the device and stops notifications. To remove Moss's access on Google's side too, go to your Google Account → Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services, choose Moss and remove access, or visit myaccount.google.com/connections.

How does Moss find dates in my email?

Moss spots dates and times written in a message, like "Saturday at 2:00 PM", using simple rules on your device, with no AI. Tap Add on the "Found in this email" card to create a pre-filled event.

Does Moss work with Outlook or iCloud mail?

Not today. Moss is built for Gmail and Google Calendar.

Is my mail private?

Yes. Your mail travels only between your device and Google. Read our Privacy Policy for the details.
